BEIJING: China's inflation remained generally stable in March despite a Covid-19 resurgence in vital parts of the country and bulk commodity price hikes in the international market, official data showed.
China's consumer price index (CPI), a main gauge of inflation, rose 1.5 percent year on year in March, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reported on Monday. The figure was higher than the 0.9-percent year-on-year growth the month before.
