Fewer hot spots in 2022 elections

THERE are fewer election hot spots this year than in the 2019 midterm polls, an indication of how the peace and order situation has improved, the Department of the Interior and Local Government said.

In a press briefing Tuesday, Interior and Local Government Undersecretary and spokesman Jonathan Malaya said it was 'good news that from the 946 areas in the 2019 polls, including 546 areas of concern, the Philippine National Police (PNP) has listed around 300 areas for the May 9 polls.'
