THE Ministry of Trade, Investments and Tourism (MTIT) of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), discussed with stakeholders the problems hounding the Maguindanao Electric Cooperative (Magelco), which include poor collection. The MTIT was informed that the collection stood at only 17 percent. MTIT Deputy Minister Sukarno Abas said the discussion was part of BARMM's mandates to protect consumers.
Bienvenida Tongol, Magelco project supervisor, said the standard collection efficiency set by the National Electrification Administration is at least 95 percent.
