Year's first storm kills 1, affects thousands of families

THE National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported one dead as Tropical Storm 'Agaton' picked up strength after making landfall Sunday morning in Guiuan, Eastern Samar.

The NDRRMC said it is checking reports that an 83-year-old individual drowned in floodwaters last Wednesday in Barangay Alegria, Cateel town in Davao Oriental.
