BEIJING: A new study led by Chinese scientists showed that the bacteria in a malignant tumor's cells aid in cancer's relocation and promote their survival as the tumor progresses.

Researchers from the Westlake Laboratory of Life Sciences and Biomedicine found that microbes could hijack cancerous cells and increase their strength against mechanical stress in the bloodstream.
