Coast Guard stops trips to Samar, Leyte

THE Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) on Sunday stopped passenger vessels from sailing to Eastern Samar, the rest of Samar, Northern Samar, Biliran, Leyte, Southern Leyte, and Camotes Islands due because of Tropical Storm Agaton.

Coast Guard Station Sorsogon Commander Christian Jazmin said that trips had to be suspended after the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration hoisted Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 in these areas.
