CAMBODIAN Prime Minister Hun Sen has indicated that he was considering easing the mandatory wearing of face masks, at least in two provinces of the country. During the inauguration of 38 roads in Siem Reap on Monday, the premier said he was thinking of relaxing mask rules in Preah Vihear and Oddar Meanchey provinces as part of a trial, and if successful, could be expanded later to the rest of the Southeast Asian nation. Those living in these provinces are allowed to go maskless, but those going in must continue to wear masks, the prime minister said. Cambodia has been enforcing a face mask policy to prevent the spread of Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in early 2020. Those found breaking it face heavy fines.
