Two quakes shake Surigao del Sur

A magnitude 6.1 and 5.8 earthquakes hit Surigao del Sur on Sunday evening, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

The first quake occurred at 6:24 p.m. and was located 49 kilometers northeast of Bayabas, Surigao del Sur. It was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 45 kilometers.
