Will Smith resigns from Oscars' Academy

(UPDATED) FOLLOWING the showstopping slap Will Smith gave host Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscar Awards, the year's Best Actor announced his decision to resign from the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences.

Rock made a joke about Smith's wife, Jada Pinkett, who was sporting a bald head on Hollywood's most glamorous night, unaware of her struggle with alopecia.
