THE Philippine Society of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers (PSABE) highlighted the vital role of agricultural and biosystems engineers (ABEs) in helping the country's agriculture sector and economy recover from the ill effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In a statement on Friday, Teodoro Eleda, PSABE president and Asean engineer, said that ABEs could lead the movement of modernizing Philippine agriculture sector. This, however, will require efforts to build platforms that will heighten cooperation among ABEs by forming and/or strengthening partnerships among the academe, and public and private sectors, he added.
