A PARTY-LIST representative wants the government to allow the continuation of the work-from-home arrangement for business process outsourcing (BPO) employees in special economic zones.
ACT-CIS Rep. Rowena Niña Taduran said that while BPOs in special economic zones are covered by the Special Economic Zone Act of 1995 (Republic Act 7916), the Department of Finance, Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) and Fiscal Incentives Review Board (FIRB) should reconsider their decision to require BPO workers to physically report for work beginning April 1.
