OVER 7,000 residents living in areas around Taal Volcano have been displaced and are housed in evacuation centers or staying with relatives and friends, the government's disaster agency said on Thursday, days after the volcano erupted.
In its situation report, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said the 7,237 individuals translates to 2,047 families from 18 villages (barangay).
