Why forgo happiness in WFH?

LARGE global companies around the world have indicated to continue hybrid work and work-from-home (WFH) arrangements even after the Covid-19 pandemic is over. In contrast, many businessmen and workers seem to get a more-than-gentle nudge from the government to go 100 percent back to the office.

On March 29, 2020, the Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE), through its Institute of Labor Studies (ILS), presented during the 10th DoLE Research Conference (ResCon) a study on WFH, done by Franchesca Rose Castillo and Joyce Anne Lumactud, under the direction of ILS Executive Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba. I was tasked to react to the study.
