DepEd lauds signing of law that protects learners with disability

THE Department of Education (DepEd) lauded the passage of Republic Act (RA) 11650, or 'An Act Instituting a Policy of Inclusion and Services for Learners with Disabilities in Support of Inclusive Education,' which ensures that learners with disabilities will gain equal access to education and opportunities.

The establishment of an Inclusive Learning Resource Center in all cities and municipalities is required under the law and likewise supported by the Commission on Human Rights (CHR).
