Duterte accuses communist, party-list groups of conspiracy ahead of May polls

BARELY two months before the May 2022 elections, President Rodrigo Duterte claimed there was a conspiracy between the communist insurgents and progressive party-list groups to 'end this government.'

In his taped Talk to the People aired late Tuesday night, Duterte urged the public not to vote for party-list groups Kabataan, Alliance of Concerned Teachers, Bayan Muna, Anakpawis, and Gabriela, or the so-called 'KABAG,' which he said are 'legal fronts' of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP).
