FedEx founder Fred Smith to step down as CEO

FEDEX Corp. said on Monday (Tuesday in Manila) that Frederick Smith will step down on June 1 as chief executive officer (CEO) of the package-delivery company that he founded and be succeeded by its president and chief operating officer (COO).

Raj Subramaniam will serve as both CEO and president and Smith will become executive chairman, it added.
