SENATE candidate Jejomar Binay Sr. appealed to the government to ensure the long-term rehabilitation of communities affected by the renewed eruption of Taal Volcano in Batangas province.
Binay, who is gunning for a Senate seat under United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) which he chairs, said residents in these affected areas have yet to fully recover from Taal's eruption in 2020, stressing that so far, some 4,000 residents have been displaced by the volcano's renewed activity.
