A HUNDRED days after the onslaught of Typhoon "Odette" (International name: "Rai") in the Philippines in December 2021, United Nations Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator in the Philippines Gustavo Gonzalez called for provision of durable shelters to those affected by the typhoon.

In his mid-term review of the response and the remaining gaps to support the affected population, he urged providing such shelters to thousands of people whose homes were damaged or destroyed.
