The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has granted nine Filipino athletes, including Olympian pole vaulter Ernest John "EJ" Obiena, with the Olympic Solidarity Scholarship (OSS) of $843 (P43,000) a month until the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
"The POC (Philippine Olympic Committee) wishes to congratulate these nine promising athletes for earning scholarships as they focus on their qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympics," said POC president Bambol Tolentino on Thursday.
