Not addressing the real problem

THE PBA lost one of its finest teams with the departure of Alaska. However, its franchise was reportedly sold to Converge ICT for over P100 million so the league remains with 12 member teams.

On the surface, the PBA looks alive. Attendance at the venues are slowly rising and viewership across TV platforms are increasing as we go deeper into the Governors' Cup playoffs. There are also plans to have foreign guest teams next year. That's one way to show that the league is 'progressive.'
