THE Department of Budget and Management (DBM) said on Wednesday that the national government has only three months' worth of excess revenues to finance the P500 monthly aid that President Rodrigo Duterte has ordered to be distributed among unconditional cash transfer (UCT) beneficiaries.
"That P500 a month — what we can only fund at this point is probably for three months that will be sourced from the excess revenues that will be collected by the DoF (Department of Finance)," said DBM Officer in Charge and Undersecretary Tina Rose Marie Canda in Filipino during the Laging Handa briefing.
