UST mentor develops app for Unesco-funded sustainable agriculture literacy

UNIVERSITY of Santo Tomas (UST) College of Information and Computing Sciences (CICS) associate professor Noel Estrella designed and developed a web application that will provide content and information management for some projects and events of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (Unesco) as applied in his hometown, Barangay Batia, Bocaue, Bulacan.

Titled SOAP or Sustainable Organic Agricultural Project, the software enables various stakeholders to upload relevant and timely digital content that eventually will enhance research databases and search engines. This software also finds practical applications in the fields of education, government, finance, health and e-commerce, serving as repositories for videos, images and documents in easy to retrieve models and modules.
