IN January 2022, a US agency estimated that 3.6 million American employees voluntarily resigned in May 2021. The trend continued, and in November 2021 resignations peaked at 4.5 million. Another source said that 47 million resigned during the whole of 2021 among the nonfarm workforces. US academic Anthony Klotz was the first to call it "The Great Resignation." It seems like millions of employees had an awakening and left their jobs en masse for similar reasons. I'd call it "The Great Repulsion."
