DepEd creates PEO in support of private schools

THE Department of Education (DepEd) has created the Private Education Office (PEO) that will provide necessary support and services to private education institutions.

Through DepEd Order 9 series of 2022, the PEO will take the lead in all matters about private education lodged in the DepEd Central Office and assist the Education secretary in ensuring that the department's mandate relative to private education is fulfilled in all levels of governance.
