WHILE other countries have lifted their policies on mandatory wearing of masks, President Rodrigo Duterte maintained that he is not inclined to scrap the country's mask mandate even though the Philippines is considered very low risk for the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).
The Chief Executive said that the use of face shields can stop, but mask-wearing, especially indoors, stays as the threat of "the monster" that is Covid-19 is still very much present and the virus can still mutate.
