THE Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has given the Department of Transportation (DoTr) P7 billion for its Service Contracting Program (SCP), which intends to provide cash subsidies to public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers affected by rising oil prices.
The program also aims to safeguard the efficiency and safety of public transportation services during the health and economic crises, it said in a statement released on Tuesday.
