BEIJING: Foreign enterprises are eyeing new opportunities in the Chinese market as China remains a top investment destination despite headwinds besetting the global economy.

Foreign direct investment (FDI) used in mainland China expanded by 37.9 percent to 243.7 billion yuan year on year in the first two months of 2022, latest data from the country's Ministry of Commerce showed. In dollar terms, these investment inflows swelled by 45.2 percent to $37.86 billion from a year earlier.
