The Science and Technology Information Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (DoST-STII) welcomes the new grassroots partnership with the Association of Science and Mathematics Educators of the Philippine Private Schools (ASMEPPS) during the signing of the memorandum of understanding, held on March 15 at the host campus, Saint Francis of Assisi College-Bacoor Campus. The partnership will capacitate the students and faculty personnel of the 160 ASMEPPS participating members to hone their talents and skills in communicating science through various media platforms and enhance their capabilities in content creation. Some of the activities that will form part of the partnership are the training on science communication writing, audio and video production, and resource and publication sharing. DoST-STII implements the Science Journo Ako program, a science communication advocacy initiative that provides capacity building in packaging science communication, using video production, news and feature writing, social media card development and publication production.
