IT'S Women's Month once again and, together with The New Channel or TNC, the second Global Women Who RULE (GWWR) summit would be held on Saturday, March 26 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. As with last year's event, women of all backgrounds would be gathered from around the world to get as varied and holistic a perspective of the Filipino women of 2022.

The past year had been momentous for Filipino women, gaining high recognition in two global fields. The Philippines' first Olympic gold, won by Hidilyn Diaz, showed that, despite male athletes being largely more known and popular in the country, women also excelled and could display their physical prowess on the global stage. And the Philippines' first Nobel laureate, Maria Ressa, earned the Peace prize for her efforts in independent journalism.
