Jane Banta is one of the few harpists who play the concert or pedal harp here in the Philippines. She has performed with several Philippine orchestras such as the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO), Manila Symphony Orchestra (MSO), Manila Philharmonic Orchestra; University of the Philippines (UP) Symphony Orchestra and the University of Sto. Tomas (UST) Symphony Orchestra.

She began learning piano at four years old, but it wasn't until many years later — after earning her Piano Performance Degree from St. Scholastica's College where she graduated Magna cum Laude — that she began taking harp lessons with outstanding harpist, Lourdes de Leon Gregorio. In 2005, she began performing with the PPO.
