6 NPA members surrender; Army recover rebel's remains

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY: Six members of the New People's Army (NPA) surrendered to state forces on Wednesday as government troopers retrieved the decaying body of another rebel killed in a recent clash in Bukidnon.

Maj. Lemuel D. Bacarro, spokesman of the Army's 8th Infantry Battalion (8IB) in Maramag, Bukidnon, said on Thursday that three of the rebels who yielded were NPA team leaders, two were medics and one used to be the NPA squad leader operating around the area of the 8IB.
