Comelec admits breach in Smartmatic system

THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Thursday admitted that Smartmatic operations was breached when one of its employees allowed a group to copy its data, senators said.

Senate President Vicente 'Tito' Sotto 3rd and Senators Maria Imelda Josefa 'Imee' Marcos, Aquilino 'Koko' Pimentel 3rd, and Cynthia Villar learned about the security breach during an executive session with some Comelec officials.
