THE Department of Trade and Industry-Fair Trade Enforcement Bureau (DTI-FTEB) reported a three-fold increase in the retail value of confiscated products in the National Capital Region (NCR) from January 1 to Feb. 28, 2022.
In a statement on Tuesday, DTI said a total of 7,551 pieces of uncertified products, with a retail value of P1.40 million, were cracked down by the DTI-FTEB through random inspection activities for the first two months of the year, up by 304 percent from the 846 pieces (P346,704) seized in the same period last year.
