Country's output gap tops Asean

DESPITE the projected 6-percent Philippine economic growth this year, the country's gross domestic product will still be 16 percent below the actual output if the Covid-19 pandemic did not happen, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) said in a report.

In its 'Southeast Asia Rising from the Pandemic' report released on Wednesday, the ADB said the 16-percent output gap of the Philippines this year is the highest among countries comprising the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
