DIGITAL financial services leader PayMaya PH launched Buyer Protect, the only online shopping protection insurance provided at no additional cost by an e-wallet in the country. The new product gave PayMaya's fast-growing digital Filipino consumer base value-added protection for e-purchases. Buyer Protect was underwritten by leading general insurer AIG Insurance Philippines Inc. and developed by PayMaya with leading global insurtech and bolttech.

With Buyer Protect, customers shopping online using their PayMaya account could get reimbursed up to P8,000 per claim with annual coverage of P16,000 for undelivered, incomplete or damaged purchases at eligible online sellers, making online shopping with PayMaya safer for users.
