INFANTA, Quezon: More than a ton of suspected shabu was intercepted early Tuesday morning by joint elements of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Taytay, Rizal, and Infanta Municipal Police Station at an installed checkpoint in Barangay Comon of this town. Infanta police chief Maj. Francis Aldrich Garcia together with NBI agents from Quezon and NCR were conducting checkpoint operations at 4 a.m. on Tuesday when they intercepted three Nissan vans with 10 males aboard and seized more than 1,000 kilograms of suspected shabu. Mindful of security concerns, the markings and inventory of the confiscated evidence were held inside the NBI-Taytay, Rizal Field Office at around 8 a.m.
