METRO Manila mayors agreed to retain the wearing of face masks and to observe minimum public health standards (MPHS) should the national government deescalate the pandemic alert system to 0, an official of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said.

In a public press briefing on Tuesday, MMDA General Manager (GM) Frisco San Juan Jr. stressed the Metro Manila Council (MMC), the policy-making body of the MMDA, expressed readiness for the projected implementation of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) Alert Level 0.
