RANKINGS provide a snapshot of one's performance vis-à-vis counterparts. According to a recent Grant Thornton International Ltd. report, the Philippines was third among 29 economies in terms of the number of women executives in mid-size companies.
This was actually a setback as the country had topped a previous global survey on women in senior management roles among 32 countries. Moreover, in Grant Thornton's latest Women in Business Report, the percentage of Filipino women in senior leadership roles had fallen to 39 percent in 2022 from 48 percent a year earlier.
