'More female chief execs in mainland than global average'

HONG KONG: The percentage of Chinese mainland-listed companies with female chief executive officers and chief financial officers are higher than the global average, a report by the South China Morning Post (SCMP) said on Sunday.

Some 6.4 percent of the 2,887 firms listed in the MSCI All Country World equity index have female CEOs as of last October. This percentage is greater than the above 5.4-percent average for emerging markets and 5.2 percent for developed markets in 2021, according to data from the latest, MSCI-published Women on Boards Progress Report.
