PHILIPPINE Athletics Track and Field Association (Patafa) president Philip Juico appealed to the International Olympic Committee's Court of Arbitration of Sport (CAS) to dismiss the harassment complaint filed against him by Olympian pole vaulter Ernest John 'EJ' Obiena before the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC)..

In his appeal before CAS, an online copy dated Feb. 21, 2022, of which The Manila Times managed to obtain, Juico said that the actions of the two other parties, especially the POC, are invalid as the national olympic committee does not have jurisdiction over the matter.
