The bias against women

'WOMEN are weak leaders,' a manufacturing supervisor recently declared. My eyebrows rose as he cited the performance of our past female presidents. With a raised voice, he again pointed to the 'weakness' of women.

Unable to contain myself, I interrupted him and blurted out the while there may be anecdotal evidence, 'that (women's weakness) cannot be generalized.' While some contemptuously belittle the presidents he mentioned, others believe they may have been the right person for the role.
