SENATE candidate Robin Padilla recently rallied the support of the Muslim community for former senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas and his running mate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio of Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats.
A Muslim convert, Padilla, speaking before a large crowd that gathered at the Manila Golden Mosque and Cultural Center in Quiapo last Saturday, recounted how Marcos' namesake and father, the late Ferdinand Marcos Sr., took the initiative to start peace negotiations to address the infighting in Mindanao.
