In THE days leading up to the opening of the Beijing Winter Paralympic Games on Friday, the transition of the competition venues, the Paralympic Villages, transportation systems and medical services into their current forms had been accelerated to make the sporting event for the world's top disabled or impaired athletes streamlined, safe and green.
In a recent interview with Chinese state-run paper Global Times, International Paralympic Committee (IPC) President Andrew Parsons praised China's efforts in terms of accessibility for people with disabilities.
