Already guaranteed of the top seed and the twice-to-beat advantage going to the next round of the PBA Governors' Cup, the Magnolia Hotshots had no plans of playing laid carpets to an Alaska Aces team looking to secure an outright top four berth.

Instead, the Hotshots played in championship mood, and played their best game of the tournament in handing the Aces a sound 118-91 beat down on Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum.
