Filipino-Japanese Tsukii 5th in Karate 1 Premier League

FILIPINO-JAPANESE Junna Tsukii settled for a fifth place finish in the first leg of the Karate 1 Premier League at the Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates two weeks ago.

The 2019 Southeast Asian Games gold medalist hurdled past Bulgarian Kristina Svilenova (3-0), Italian Erminia Perfetto (4-0) and Austrian Bettina Plank (3-0) in the round-robin eliminations of the women's kumite -50kg category.
