IT's about nine weeks until the elections. People wonder if the Commission on Elections (Comelec) is ready and ask if the automated elections system (AES) is secure enough to protect the votes. A number of them ask if there will be a repeat of the seven-hour glitch experienced in 2019. The official explanation for that incident is "nabulunan" (the system choked), and so far no technical explanation has been put forward.
