A MAJORITY of Filipinos believe that the spread of fake news in media, such as television, radio and newspaper, is a serious problem, a survey conducted by the Social Weather Stations (SWS) in December last year showed.
Sixty-nine percent of the respondents said the issue was serious, 32 percent said it was very serious and 38 percent said it was somewhat serious. Meanwhile, 9 percent said it was not serious, 3 percent it was not at all serious and 6 percent said it was somewhat not serious and 21 percent were undecided.
