The Embassy of Sweden, with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Ramon Lopez, held a virtual event to jointly move forward the common agenda of sustainability and good business practices. As Sweden and the Philippines mark 75 years of bilateral relations in 2022, the Embassy actively promotes Swedish trade, investments, sustainability, innovation, and culture in partnership with Philippine government, private sector, civil society, and academe. The Swedish Institute Management Programme (SIMP) is an example of the two countries collaborating and exchanging best practices to achieve similar goals.

Through SIMP, Filipino leaders and owners of small and medium enterprises gain in-depth knowledge and skills about sustainable business practices with a focus on human rights, climate and the environment, decent working conditions, and anti-corruption. The comprehensive leadership program also provides insights into business cases for sustainability in Sweden, one of the leading countries in sustainable business practice.
