Yassi Pressman urges Filipinos to care for their mental health

THE THOUGHT JUNKIE

From the outside looking in, Filipino-British actress Yassi Pressman seems to have it all. Blessed with both good looks and talent, Yassi is one of the country's most famous faces. However, lurking behind the fame, the Instagram likes, and the TikTok dances was a soul who was going through her own healing journey. A big part of that journey was dealing with the aftermath of her father's death and the impact it had on her. However, instead of letting grief defeat her, Yassi tended to her mental health in order to move forward the best way that she could. Even before her father's death, Yassi has already been committed to taking care of her mental health to help deal with her anxiety. Her own mental health journey gave her an understanding of the lack of tools and resources available to Filipinos.

It is this journey and realization that inspired Yassi to be an investor of Mind You, a company that provides accessible and affordable psychological support to Filipinos. Her decision to be an early investor for Mind You stems from her desire to end the stigma surrounding mental health in the Philippines.
