PSA cites need for natl ID

NATIONAL Statistician Dennis Mapa said Filipinos should have a valid and secure proof of identity as Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) data shows that the majority of National ID registrants presented alternatives to primary supporting documents.

During the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) registration, registrants are required to present their primary supporting documents to validate their provided information.
